Dr. Brian Lumar - Experienced Educator and Community Leader

Dr. Brian Lumar is an educator and coach who serves as the director and supervisor at A1 Absolute Best Care. In this position, Dr. Brian Lumar is responsible for supervising staff and working with families to coordinate services. His career spans over 20 years in education and athletics and encompasses a range of roles that include teaching, coaching, and administration.

Dr. Lumar began his teaching career at Archbishop Shaw High School, where he taught literature and speech and coached the basketball team. He later moved to Hahnville High School, where he taught and served as English/Speech teacher as well as the head coach of the varsity basketball team. His transition to school administration with Saint Charles Parish Public Schools included roles as assistant principal and principal. He managed academics, discipline, athletics, and school improvement initiatives.

Dr. Lumar has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has volunteered with groups such as Special Olympics, United Way, and Locks for Love. His education includes a bachelor’s degree in communication from Loyola University, a master’s degree in administration and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a doctorate in administration and supervision from Southeastern University.
